Est. 2011
Since 2011, the Glasgow University Business Club (GUBC) has been driven by a single motto: We get you further. Our mission is to provide students with a platform to develop crucial academic, professional, leadership, and social skills, setting them on a path to career success. Over the years, GUBC has evolved into a highly respected student organization at the University of Glasgow, offering a diverse range of opportunities that help shape the leaders of tomorrow.
A Legacy of Success
With over 500 active members, GUBC continues to be a leader in fostering career development opportunities. Each year, we host 20+ events covering everything from hands-on workshops to exclusive networking sessions. Our flagship events, such as Startup 101 and the Business Ball, attract driven students and top industry professionals, resulting in invaluable career connections and mentorship opportunities.
Our annual Social Enterprise competition has become a key feature of our calendar, with over 19+ teams addressing real-world business challenges aimed at creating a positive social impact. This initiative is designed to help students apply their academic knowledge to socially responsible business solutions.

Workshops with the Big Four
As part of our commitment to bridging the gap between university education and the professional world, GUBC hosts workshops in collaboration with the Big Four professional services firms: Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PwC. These firms are the largest professional services networks in the world, providing GUBC members with exclusive insights into the industries of accounting, consulting, and advisory services. These workshops give our members hands-on experience and guidance from top professionals, helping them prepare for future careers in these highly competitive fields.
Leading to Career Success
GUBC is dedicated to not only building skills but also launching careers. Many of our members have gone on to secure internships and full-time roles at prestigious companies such as Amazon, McKinsey, Google, BP, and JP Morgan. We take pride in watching our alumni thrive in leadership roles, making significant contributions across a range of industries.

Industry Partnerships
We believe in creating strong, impactful relationships between students and the professional world. In 2022, we partnered with PwC to host the PwC Case Challenge, which saw over 125 students working on real-world business scenarios. We regularly collaborate with top firms like KPMG, Accenture, and Morgan Stanley, ensuring our members receive invaluable exposure to industry practices and mentorship.
A Growing and Thriving Community
Our club now boasts over 500 student members for the 2023/24 academic year. As we grow, so do the opportunities for our members to expand their networks, develop their skills, and take important steps toward meaningful and impactful careers. Whether through workshops, competitions, or high-profile networking events, GUBC remains committed to helping students unlock their full potential and succeed in the ever-evolving business world.
